South Boulder Creek Trailhead, 1720 Marshall Road
Join Boulder Walks for a "choose your own adventure"-style ramble on Thursday, June 22, along the flat, frequently shady South Boulder Creek and Boulder Creek paths. Start at the south end of the South Boulder Creek Trail at 8 a.m. for the full 9.25-mile walk to the Dushanbe Teahouse downtown, or start later at any of four more designated meeting points to enjoy a beautiful morning walk along the city's scenic creek paths. Then, join in for a delicious lunch or a cold drink at the teahouse with the group! Bus tickets will be provided for participants who wish to take transit back to their starting points.
Option 1: Carpool, bike or ride the RTD Route GS bus to the southern terminus of the South Boulder Creek Trail on Marshall Road. If you are driving, consider parking on Greenbriar Blvd. near Fairview HS and walking to the trailhead (cross Broadway and follow the multi-use path south to Marshall Road). That way, you can ride the SKIP bus back to your car after lunch. Begin the walk at 8 a.m. (9.25 miles total).
Option 2: Drive or take the RTD Route 225 bus to the Bobolink Trailhead (parking is free) and meet the group there at about 9:30 a.m. (The walk to the teahouse is about 6 miles total from here.)
Option 3: Drive or take the RTD JUMP bus to Arapahoe Ave. and Old Tale Rd., meeting the group there at about 9:45 a.m. (The walk to the teahouse is about 5 miles total from here.) Park along Old Tale Rd. if driving.
Option 4: Take the RTD Route 208 bus to 55th St. near Pearl Parkway and meet the group at the multi-use path underpass at about 10:15 a.m. for a 3.5-mile walk.
Option 5: Take the RTD JUMP bus to Arapahoe Ave. and the CU Research Park (just east of 38th/Marine) and meet the group at about 11 a.m. for an easy 2-mile walk to the Dushanbe Teahouse. We'll reach the Dushanbe Teahouse by about 11:45 a.m.
